Another stately Fan home built in 1910, our clients wanted a fun relaxing place to come home to after long busy days at the office. In addition, they love hosting parties. For this reason, we added drama in the living room with deep, dark walls and for lack of space we reupholstered and installed 4 vintage lounge chairs instead of the typical sofa + two chairs. This also gave them the added bonus of easily moving them out of the way should they have a standing room only party. Lastly, we designed custom antiqued mirrored sconces that flank the fireplace which help make the room look bigger and reflect light back into the room. After chipping away at most of the rooms and reconfiguring one bedroom into a walk-in closet, they gave birth to Henry which prompted us to convert a guest bedroom into an adorable gender neutral nursery. Born in the year of the snake, we commissioned artist Jennifer Maravillas to design a baby poster that incorporated an approachable (not scary!) snake formed into the shape of a heart.
